Car Delivery In 10 Minutes? Zepto CEO Says... - See Full Post
The teaser video, which has gone viral, showed a Zepto delivery executive entering a Skoda showroom and announcing that he was there to pick up an order.

Zepto CEO Aadit Palicha has addressed the viral speculation surrounding a recent teaser video in collaboration with Skoda India, clarifying that the delivery platform is not yet in the business of delivering cars in 10 minutes. The statement comes after a surge of media headlines and social media buzz, sparked by the teaser, which suggested that Zepto would soon deliver cars in its signature rapid delivery style.
In his LinkedIn post, Palicha directly addressed the confusion, saying, "No, we’re not delivering cars in 10 minutes… yet." This clarification quickly quashed the excitement surrounding the idea that Zepto, would be expanding into car sales with a focus on speed.
What led to the 10-minute car delivery rumor?
The teaser video, which has gone viral, showed a Zepto delivery executive entering a Skoda showroom and announcing that he was there to pick up an order. The showroom staff then led him to a Skoda Kylaq, Skoda’s new sub-compact SUV, and the video concluded with the words “Skoda x Zepto: Coming soon,” accompanied by a hint at a February 8 launch date. This clip led many to believe that Zepto might soon be adding cars to its delivery roster.
However, the video’s ambiguity left much to be interpreted, and it didn’t take long for the internet to run wild with assumptions. Headlines quickly surfaced claiming that Skoda cars, including the Kylaq, could soon be delivered in minutes through Zepto’s platform. As Zepto is widely recognised for its fast delivery service, people were naturally excited about the possibility of getting their hands on a new car with the same level of speed and convenience that comes with their grocery orders.
Taking to LinkedIn to manage the growing excitement, Palicha provided much-needed clarity. “What you can get in 10 minutes? A test drive of the Škoda Kylaq for now,” he said, dampening the expectation that customers would soon be able to order a car for immediate delivery. While the CEO’s comment cleared up the misunderstanding, he also teased the possibility of future innovations, adding, “But… who knows what the future holds?”
What’s next for Zepto and Skoda?
In the coming days, more details about this collaboration will likely surface as the official launch date of February 8 approaches. As of now, Zepto’s core business remains focused on delivering groceries and daily essentials with speed.
