Dabur gets Rs 350 Crore Tax Notice, Company Responds - See Details
Dabur informed the exchanges that currently it is ‘reviewing the order and evaluating the next steps in the matter available under the applicable laws’.
GST Notice To Dabur: The fast-moving consumer goods company Dabur Limited has received a Rs 350 crore tax notice from the Additional Commissioner, CGST Commissionerate, Chandigarh.
“This is further to our previous communication dated October 17, 2023. The Company has received an Order on November 25, 2024, from Additional Commissioner, CGST Commissionerate, Chandigarh, confirming a total demand of Rs. 3,20,60,53,070…” the company reported in an exchange filing.
Dabur’s Response to GST Notice
Dabur informed the exchanges that currently it is ‘reviewing the order and evaluating the next steps in the matter available under the applicable laws’.
However, the company also assured their investors that there would be no impact on the operations or other activities due to the notice.
“There is no impact on the operation or other activities of the Company due to this order. The financial impact will be limited to the extent of final tax liability as may be ascertained along with interest, if any,” the company stated.
Dabur Stock Performance
After the Rs 320 crore notice, the stocks are likely to remain under the investors’ watch in Wednesday’s trading session. Amid a broader market meltdown, Dabur also slipped 5.18 per cent in the last one month with a 7.47 per cent decline in the last six months. According to BSE data, the stock returns have also remained negative for the past year.
On November 26, the stock ended 3.50 points or 0.67 per cent higher to settle at the price of Rs 525 apiece.
