According to the "India GCC Growth Outlook 2024" report, which is based on insights from 207 GCC decision-makers across major cities

Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India are poised to create 4.25-4.5 lakh new jobs in 2025, with an even larger forecast of 1 million jobs over the next six years. A new report from NLB Services, a global technology and digital talent solutions provider, reveals that 35% of companies plan a workforce expansion of 50-100% in the coming year. This trend reflects India's growing prominence as the preferred location for GCCs, driven by a vast pool of skilled talent and supportive government policies.
Significant Job Growth in the Coming Years
According to the "India GCC Growth Outlook 2024" report, which is based on insights from 207 GCC decision-makers across major cities, the GCC sector is expected to generate 1 million jobs by 2030. Overall, the sector is projected to employ 3.3 million professionals in India by the same year. The report highlights the role of cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai in driving demand for fresh talent, particularly in areas like technology, finance, manufacturing, and sustainability.
Youth and Women Representation Set to Surge
In line with future-focused goals, 42% of GCCs anticipate a 50% workforce increase by 2030. This expansion is expected to focus on equipping the youth with next-gen innovation skills. Furthermore, the report shows a significant push for gender diversity, with over 61% of India Inc.'s GCCs expecting a 50% increase in female hires by 2030. This marks a sharp increase from the 7% of companies aiming for a similar women workforce expansion in 2025.
The Rise of Digital and Niche Skills Demand
As the demand for high-demand skills continues to rise, sectors such as financial services (79%), marketing and digital advertising (73%), and engineering and manufacturing (69%) are expected to see substantial hiring. This growth is a result of companies adopting a digital-first approach and pursuing Industry 4.0 transformations. Additionally, human resource and talent management (68%) will remain vital as organizations scale operations and look to attract niche talent and build leadership pipelines.
Supportive Policies to Boost
NLB Services CEO Sachin Alug emphasized that the introduction of a national framework in the FY26 Budget will further accelerate the expansion of GCCs in Tier II and III cities. As the GCC sector grows, the demand for specialized skills is expected to increase, further contributing to India’s strengthening position as a global hub for GCCs.
