Asian Paints Q3 Results: Net Profit Slumps 23% as Revenue Declines- See Details

Asian Paints announced the financial results of the Company for the quarter and nine-month period ended 31st December 2024.  The company recorded a 23.3% drop in consolidated net profit for the third quarter (Q3) of FY25, with profits falling to Rs 1,110.48 crore from Rs 1,447.72 crore in the same period last year. 

However, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, profits rose by nearly 60% from Rs 694.64 crore in Q2 FY25.

The Company will be holding a conference with the investors at 6.00 pm 1ST on Tuesday, 4th February 2025, wherein the management will comment on the business and financial performance for the quarter and nine-month period ended 31st December 2024. Asian Paints: Q3 Results 


The company's consolidated revenue from operations dropped 6% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 8,549.44 crore, compared to Rs 9,103.09 crore in Q3 FY24. However, revenue saw a 6.5% increase compared to Rs 8,027.54 crore in Q2 FY25, indicating a sequential recovery.

However, some segments faced weak seasonal demand, leading to a decline in sales. White Teak sales dropped 22.8% YoY to ₹26 crore, while Weatherseal sales declined 14.1% YoY to ₹11.8 crore. The company attributed these declines to lower seasonal demand, affecting overall performance in these categories.


Asian Paints: Performance

The company shared the performance report as well. Talking about the various segments of the performance report, the bath fittings segment saw a 2.5% year-on-year (YoY) growth, with sales increasing to ₹87.6 crore, compared to ₹85.4 crore in the same period last year. 

Similarly, the kitchen business recorded a 2.7% YoY rise, reaching ₹102.7 crore, up from ₹100.1 crore in Q3 FY24.


The international business performed well, reporting a 5% YoY growth, with sales climbing to ₹818 crore, compared to ₹779.1 crore last year. This indicates a steady expansion in overseas markets despite domestic challenges.

Despite the drop in net profit, Asian Paints' stock price remained strong, rising 2.52% to Rs 2,350.85 on the BSE on February 4, 2025. The stock's resilience suggests investor confidence in the company’s long-term growth and recovery potential. 


While profits and revenue declined YoY, sequential growth and strong international performance signal stability in Asian Paints' business. With stock prices holding steady, investors remain optimistic about future recovery and expansion.
