Castrol India’s share price jumped over 9% in today’s trading session after the company posted strong Q3 results.

Castrol India’s stock witnessed a sharp surge in today’s trading session, gaining over 9% intraday. On the Bombay Stock Exchange ( BSE ), the stock opened at ₹186.15, touched an intraday high of ₹193.75, and was trading at ₹188.70 (+6.82%) at 3:20 PM. The stock had closed at ₹176.65 in the previous session.
The surge comes after the company reported strong Q3 financial results and declared a special dividend to celebrate its 125th anniversary.
Strong Q3 Results Drive Investor Optimism
For the December 2024 quarter, Castrol India posted a 21% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit, reaching ₹271 crore, compared to ₹242 crore in the same period last fiscal.
The company’s revenue from operations also saw a 7% YoY growth, climbing to ₹1,354 crore.
For the entire financial year (January to December 2024), Castrol India’s revenue rose 6% to ₹5,365 crore, compared to ₹5,075 crore in the previous year. Meanwhile, the company’s net profit for the period increased 7% to ₹927 crore.
Castrol India Declares 195% Final Dividend
To mark its 125th anniversary and recognize its strongest-ever performance in India, Castrol’s board has recommended a final dividend of 195% (₹9.5 per share) on a face value of ₹5 per share. This includes a special dividend of ₹4.5 per share.
The record date to determine shareholder eligibility for the final dividend has been set as March 18, 2025. The dividend payout will be made on or before April 23, 2025.
