Trump vs Trudeau Tussle
During Trump's previous term as President, Trudeau was opposed to him over various issues including policy changes that adversely impacted Canada's economy.
However, Justin Trudeau has recently congratulated Donald Trump on his victory despite the fact that Trump earlier referred to him as 'Fidel Castro's son'. In fact, Trudeau himself named the challenges that America shall be faced with if Trump won for a second term.
While citing Canada's friendship with the US, Justin Trudeau also added in his post on X that the two countries' friendship is the envy of the world.
The post further said, "I know President Trump and I will work together to create more opportunity, prosperity, and security for both of our nations."
A few among Trump's collection of names for Trudeau are "two faced," "weak" and a "far-left lunatic."
The 45th Canadian federal election is likely to take place around October 2025. While Justin Trudeau is most likely to be the Liberal contender again, Pierre Poilievre is likely to stand as a strong opponent from the Conservative party.
