BMC: Project Details
The 'Mumbai Eye' will be developed through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The exact location is yet to be finalized. The Ferris wheel will feature air-conditioned, sled passenger capsules, each accommodating up to 25 people, providing visual with a bird's-eye view of Mumbai.
BMC: Previous Attempts
Mumbai is seen as the financial capital of our country. The concept was first proposed in 2008 by Shiv Sena leader Ravindra Waikar. In 2022, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) gusted building it at the Bandra Reclamation promenade, but the plan was shelved due to local opposition.
BMC: Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Model
