Amid ongoing debate over the 90-hour work week triggered by L&T Chairman S.N. Subrahmanyan, finfluencer Akshat Shrivastava took a jibe at the former and said that his wife got 'serious' on the L&T Chairman's remark regarding working on Sundays. Subrahmanyan had, in a viral video, asked his colleague 'how long you can stare at your wife'.

"How long can you stare at your wife? said L&T Chairman. My wife got serious. And, asked: yeah, tell me: how long, can you?  These are one of those questions, where there is no right answer.  Say too much, you sound fake. Say too little, you run other risks," said Shrivastava in a recent Twitter post.

"This my friend is what scientists call: an impossible question. The poor guy wanted his employees to work for 90 hours, I don't know. I don't give a shit. But, I wish he would have at least answered the question he started this controversy with," added Shrivastava

Subrahmanyan's comments have ignited a significant debate about work-life balance and workplace culture in India.

During an address to employees, Subrahmanyan expressed dissatisfaction about not being able to extend work hours to include Sundays. He was quoted saying, “What do you do sitting at home? How long can you stare at your wife? Come on, get to the office and start working.”

He also supported the idea of a 90-hour workweek, citing the example of longer working hours in countries like China to achieve competitive success.
