Aadit Palicha is an Indian entrepreneur who is the Co-Founder & CEO of the online grocery store Zepto , which was India’s fastest-growing e-grocery company in 2021.

Early Life

Palicha was born in Mumbai, India, in 2001 to a Gujarati family, while his mother hails from Mumbai. His family later moved to Dubai, UAE, where he spent most of his childhood. He got his IB diploma in Mathematics and Computer Science from Gems Modern Academy, Dubai, from where he graduated a valedictorian. He was an extraordinary student and got the highest point score possible of 45 in IDBP Diploma in UAE.

His father, Kavit Palicha, is an engineer and stakeholder at Zepto, while his mother, Urvashi Palicha is CEO of Search Point, a UA based executive recruitment firm. Aadit has a younger brother named Ishaan Palicha.

Career

Aadit met his co-founder Kaivalya Vohra when he was nine years old. They were both from Mumbai and studied at the same school in Dubai. They eventually went to Stanford to study computer engineering, from where they dropped out and moved to Mumbai during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.

The idea of grocery delivery came to them during the lockdown, wherein it took 6-7 days for grocery to arrive. In April 2021, Aadit and Kaivalya founded the online store Zepto in Mumbai. As of 2024, the company is planning its IPO with a valuation of $3.6 Billion.
