WhatsApp gets Custom Lists to help users track conversations easily: How to use
Meta-owned WhatsApp has rolled out a new Custom Lists feature that will enable users to sort through their conversations easily. Here's how to use this feature.
WhatsApp update: WhatsApp has announced a new feature that is aimed at helping users sort through their conversations easily. The Meta-owned messaging app has announced a feature called ‘Custom Lists’ that will enable users create special groups, within which they can club their important chats, including group chats and individual chats.
WhatsApp says that users can create multiple custom lists, such as Work, Family and Friends, in the app in order to sort through all of their conversations and access them easily while avoiding confusion. "Similar to your ‘favorites’, you can add both groups and one-on-one chats to a list, and any list you create will appear in the filter bar," WhatsApp wrote in a blog post announcing the development.
“Whether that’s a list for family, work or your local neighborhood, Lists help you focus on the conversations that are most important, when you need them,” the company added in its blog.
Notably, WhatsApp's Custom Lists feature builds on top of the company's Chat Filters feature that arrived in the app earlier this year. To recall, WhatsApp's Chat Filters include three tabs -- All, Unread and Groups. Now the company has added the provision to create more filters, which can be used to chats more easily and efficiently.
Coming to availability, WhatsApp has already started rolling out its Custom Lists feature to all its users. It will be available to all users globally in the coming weeks.
