RBETA 2024: Republic Media Network's Editor-in-Chief, Arnab Goswami, inaugurated the first Republic Business Emerging Technology Awards (RBETA) 2024, marking a significant milestone in recognising India's technological advancements and entrepreneurial spirit.

The event, held in Gurugram, brought together prominent figures in technology and media, highlighting the fusion of these fields. Goswami's opening remarks set an inspirational tone as he shared a personal anecdote from a 2015 event in Moscow. He recalled his prediction that India would become a global media force, stressing the country's excellence in English, youthful energy, and technological prowess.

Goswami praised young entrepreneurs like Ritesh Agarwal, Founder & CEO of OYO Rooms, who was honoured with the RBETA Tech Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 award. Agarwal's journey, from founding a company at 21 to leading one of the world's largest travel platforms, exemplifies the drive and innovation celebrated at RBETA.

In his speech, Agarwal expressed his gratitude and reflected on the challenges and successes of his entrepreneurial journey. He stressed the importance of enjoying the journey and the support of families in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Goswami lauded Agarwal's emotional intelligence, humility, and resilience, predicting a bright future for OYO and Agarwal's continued impact on various sectors.

Within a month, the platform garnered over 1.5 million users, showcasing the network's commitment to excellence in digital journalism. He announced ambitious plans to expand Republic's digital news portfolio into multiple languages, aiming to reach every city, village, and home in India.

Republic's Digital Expansion

Republic Digital's impressive statistics were highlighted, with a community of 127 million across websites, mobile apps, social media platforms, and digital streaming partnerships. Goswami stressed the network's relentless pursuit of excellence, robust digital resources, and strategic product planning as key drivers of their success.

The event also acknowledged the hard work and dedication of Republic's digital and content teams. Goswami commended individuals like Tapan, Tanvi, and Sharmila for their contributions to Republic Digital and Republic Business, expressing confidence in their continued growth and innovation.

Goswami concluded by reiterating Republic's commitment to its mission of nationalism and nation-first journalism. He announced plans to launch Republic Global within the next year, expanding the network's reach to every capital city worldwide. He called on technology entrepreneurs to support this vision, confident in India's ability to lead in the post-Ukraine, post-Cold War world.
